Maximum Benefit from Each Treatment

To enjoy the best results with the smallest number of treatment sessions you need to know some important things. Read the following material to know what you should do.
Maximum Benefit from Each Treatment

1. Avoid waxing, plucking, epilating and electrolysis
treatment_benefitIt is important (if you want to get the best results from your treatment) not to wax, pluck, use epilator or have electrolysis for at least four weeks before laser treatment, because laser beam seeks out and destroys actively growing hair roots. These things temporarily eliminate the pigmented part of the hair follicle which is the target for laser.

2. Avoid tanning
The lighter your skin color you have at the time of treatment, the better the laser beam can reach the hair roots in the skin, where it is needed.
If you want to get the maximum possible benefit from each treatment session, avoid tanning and stop using artificial "tanning" creams for six weeks before procedure. People with very dark skin need more sessions to reach satisfied results.

It is better to minimize tanning for a few weeks after laser treatment, to reduce the chance that your tan will be somewhat irregular. Use a sunscreen on all treated areas before, during and after treatments to protect yourself.

3. Shave or clip your hair
It is good idea to shave or clip the area to be treated the day of treatment or the day before. Some people said that the skin is less sensitive if it is shaved at least a few hours before treatment. Another benefit of shaving the area to be treated is that you can shape the area to be treated exactly the way you want it to be. This is very important option for those who want to treat bikini line.

If you have excess hair you must remove it from the area before treatment, because hair above the surface of the skin will simply imbibe and waste laser energy and prevent it from getting to the hair roots, where it is needed.

Much people believe that shaving makes hair grow back thicker, faster, darker or more profusely. However, it is not true. Don’t be afraid to shave before treatment, and between treatments.

4. Bleaching
You can bleach hair in the areas to be treated. Laser target only the hair roots. Bleaching will not affect the color of the roots. But it is better to stop bleaching before your first visit. The doctor have to see and evaluate the hair to be treated.
