doctor_consaltingInsist on consulting directly with the supervising physician.
During the consultation:

1) Make sure that the office is clean and organized, whether everyone is professional and courteous. If anything is wrong, go to another office.

2) Ask them prove their promises
If they tell you that laser hair removal is permanent, ask for medical data that prove their promises. Insist on getting a hard copy of a recently published medical data about their laser results.

3) Speak with clients (if possible)
Try to talk speak with clients who were treated with the same type of laser and same doctor. Clients should be at least 6 and preferably 12 months past their final procedure. Ask them if they felt any pain, how long did it take for their hair to fall out, did they have any side effects, and how long did it last. Sometimes it is difficult to speak with clients because a lot of them want to keep their visits private. No respectable doctor will give you any information about patients without first getting their permission.

4) Meet the person who will perform laser hair removal
Try to meet a supervising physician, not a technician. Get all the information you require from the doctor who will treat you. If the doctor has a technician perform procedure, try to find out the recommendation of the person who will be treating you.

5) Ask about methods to reduce pain
Ask them if they have pain relief available if you need it, especially when you worry about pain or sensitive to it. Be very suspicious, if they try to tell you that a procedure is painless.

6) Speak about prices
The cost of a laser hair removal procedure depends on the area being treated, the physician performing the treatment, the number of treatments needed to completely remove your problem hair, your own peculiarities of hair growth and other considerations.
